The Polar Express — Santa’s Den

Holiday Design & Styling | Ascension Saint Thomas Heart Hospital

The journey continued on the other side of the waiting room, where we brought the warmth and wonder of The Polar Express fireplace scene to life.

Inspired by the film’s cozy gathering around the fire, this installation created a festive moment within the hospital—inviting patients and guests to pause, take in the details, and experience a little holiday magic while they waited.

Designed as a continuation of the larger Polar Express transformation, this scene helped carry the story throughout the space. The intention remained the same: to offer patients something joyful and familiar, and perhaps a reason to smile during a time that could feel uncertain.

Because even in a place where so much is unknown, a moment of warmth and wonder can make a difference.
