So Suite.
Nashville Life Christian Church | Commercial Interior Design
A space can serve multiple purposes without losing its sense of identity. This project involved transforming the Green Room at Nashville Life Christian Church into a comfortable, welcoming hospitality suite designed to accommodate the everyday needs of pastoral staff and visiting guests while also serving as a bridal suite.
The design intention was to create an environment that felt soft, inviting, and comfortable without leaning too feminine or overly formal. A restrained neutral palette established the foundation, while layered textures, warm wood tones, leather, and metal accents introduced depth, character, and balance.
Mid-century modern lighting added another layer of personality, complementing the softer finishes while giving the space a subtle contemporary edge. Rather than relying on color or decorative excess, the design uses contrast, material selection, and lighting to establish its character.
Because this room serves as more than a guest waiting area, functionality was just as important as aesthetics. It needed to feel comfortable enough for pastoral meetings, private conversations, and counseling, while also providing a peaceful retreat between services. Its dual purpose as a bridal suite required the space to transition naturally into an environment where a bride could prepare for one of life's most meaningful occasions.
The result is a versatile hospitality environment that balances warmth, sophistication, and function; a space designed to welcome, accommodate, and provide a moment of respite.
